Yes thats right, the ITV Pigeons ident uses the same music as the rhythmic gymnastics ident, which UTV used before the news most of the time....but not always.

The "How to chat" promo is annoying me already - seen it three times in just over an hour. On the other hand wouldn't be surprised to see Roman Kemp and Rochelle turning up guest hosting This Morning one Friday in the sumner.

So we used to get baby lambs, chicks and rabbits - and now we get severed arms for Easter.

I wouldn’t suggest reading the start of the New Testament then.

I totally agree, the music variants of the 2013 package were wonderful, all with the same melody that branded the idents brilliantly and imo transformed the from just being a logo on footage, watch them on mute and you’ll see what I mean [size=85](even though I do love the filmography and colour picking logo). I really would agree that the 2013 set, whilst not my personal favourite, worked really well and made the channel feel consistent and inviting; I would also say the same about the November 2006-January 2013 look (particularly including the 2010 ident additions, which I do like the most) as they shared a similar soundtrack and also kept to a common colour (the 2013 ones didn't, in which comes the colour picking logo which was a clever idea at the time).

With ITV Creates however, it's never really felt like ITV or had that signature touch to it that rings true - other than the less-than-consistent use of the logo, and a rather irritating soundtrack, there's nothing of note that links these together or makes them feel like you're watching ITV(1). I do think it would be interesting though if they explored something in the style of the 2019- trailer endboards and ECPs though since I do rather like those designs.

Y’know, looking at this discussion, I can’t help but consider what will happen if we merged the 2013 and 2019 concepts together...

Love the ITV Creates idents. They really stole a march in terms of branding, creative and viewer community engagement. I always enjoy seeing the new ones. Makes a nice change from stuff like the BBC One "oneness" idents which are old and tired now.

Although right to move on from the black idents I'm not sure the severed arms logo is appropriate for leading into the news this week.

There's an animation that looks like several break bumpers connected together. They could use that.
