Aha! So I was right! I had a gut feeling they would mention it.

They covered the subject well - didn't gloss over the caveats and had a good discussion of the ramifications.

If everyone on here is waiting to find out if Piers is going to return to Good Morning Britain then this page should confirm the answer
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle/...s-21461570 Susanna confirmed that Piers won't be back.
02-09-2021, 11:27 AM
It wasn't 'confirmed', but Ben did go on to say: ''not for the short term anyway...''
02-09-2021, 11:33 AM
To be clear, Susanna said: "He tweeted 'does this mean I get my job back?' ITV effectively said yesterday he is not coming back"
The comment on the short term by Ben was "There is another reason that Pier won’t be coming back for the short term anyway. That’s because Arsenal is bottom of the league." The short term aspect is related to the performance of Arsenal and made in jest. Clearly, he isn't returning.

I don't know about Piers returning to host again but I wonder if he might appear as a guest, possibly to be interviewed about the Ofcom ruling and situation?
I suppose if it were to happen it might have been today, although maybe Monday would be better anyway, gives them chance to let people know about it. The press are reporting that Kevin Lygo is fighting a "one man battle" to get Piers back on GMB, but there's little support for it elsewhere at ITV.

I did not see this 'live' so it was good to see a quite lengthy sensible and quiet debate without the previous hectoring by Piers Foghorn. Imagine if he was on 'discussing' this? Still, he will always have his supporters to keep him employed.

Ofcom doesn’t have the power to rule “against” him. Ofcom rules that ITV wasn’t in breach and only because opposing views were aired. Have you read the document?
