Favourite Christmas TV Pres?

Mine has to be the snowman ident from CBBC from the Yellow and Black era and then the Christmas balloon and 2 idents from 1999 to 2001.

I know that they’re still special as they’re different from
Presentation the rest of the year, but looking back at some of those old idents from BBC One and Two, it brings back memories of the days of Christmas as they’re synonymous with very different scheduling, what I’m trying to say is that when you used to see the Christmas idents air you knew that it wasn’t your usual line up of programmes.

1999 for both BBC channels was the best for me, closely followed by 2000. They’ve steadily declined in quality since then, as has presentation in general.

I totally agree with you absolutely same with CBBC's Presentation, the Yellow and Black look was the best.

I loved the CiTV Christmas Idents from that era and the theme to go with it, also loved the GMTV Christmas jingle as it takes me back for getting ready for school on a winter morning.

That's the Christmas rendition of the 1996 GMTV jingle, dare I say it, I prefer it over the regular variant.

Strange as well GMTV had the same jingle remixed many times throughout it's 17 years of existence.

I love the 1993 idents. The music, the Santa going across the top of this ident and even the plain Ident with Northern Lights just works in my opinion.

Also the “Wizard” programme promo from 1990 has stuck in my mind - but that’s mostly tithe music.
