They needn't have gone for anything radical, but a fresh take on the look and sound of the bulletin wouldn't have gone amiss, especially as they seem to have heavily promoted the changes today.
At least the current BBC News look has been refreshed multiple times with new graphics etc. If they had just stuck with the 2008 look or even the 2013 one with practically no changes then I would say people would be a lot more sick of it
