ITV News: March 2022 onwards - TVGuy - 07-03-2022

I am watching the news right now. Let's see how it goes.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - eyeTV - 07-03-2022

Ad break after regional news.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - RDJ - 07-03-2022

The previews shown during the Regional News doesn’t show much presentational changes, but that Alex will be in the studio doing the weather.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - Josh - 07-03-2022

One advert between the news, straight into it.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - jacobmorton - 07-03-2022

No changes to opening titles. So far only noticeable change is to the screen to the left of the desk.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - XIII - 07-03-2022

Unusual for an ad between the regional and national news, normally it goes straight through.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - London Lite - 07-03-2022

ITV News West Country had a trailer and an interview with Mary Nightingale.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - JK1985 - 07-03-2022

They had this opportunity to even slightly refresh the look of the Evening News, but they gave us the same nine year old opening titles and usual presentation. What a missed opportunity to even slightly refresh the nine year old look of ITV News.

I agree in terms of content, but in terms of presentation, I would have thought today would have been a perfect opportunity to even slightly refresh the look, which is now over nine years old. Just maybe tweaks to the backdrop of the empty news control room, maybe a refresh to the news desk, not much was needed to just refresh it up.

ITV News: March 2022 onwards - JAS84 - 07-03-2022

Could the Russo-Ukrainian War be to blame? If anything was planned, now is honestly not a good time to launch it. You want a quiet news day for that, in case anything goes wrong.

In my opinion it needs a refresh. The extremely flat titles and overall set looked quite fresh and modern 9 years ago, but times have changed.

Not a very good change either IMO. The screen just looks as though it is floating in the middle now, much preferred the previous style.

Something similar to the 2006 refresh would have done it for me. They didn't change a whole lot from the 2004 rebrand, but since they had a new logo they took the time to do some changes to the presentation of the news programmes
