Waterloo Road to return

It fits the bill for the BBC trying to get the younger age groups back on board, but it will be interesting to see how they do the ‘return’. I wouldn’t mind too much if they just brushed it off in true Waterloo Road fashion, but it would be great if there was a link back to the Rochdale pupils, or getting some to feature in some way.

There was a virtual reunion of a lot of the old cast on YouTube which made me rewatch from the start, currently on series 4.

That sentence contradicts itself. If he's playing a new character and not Donte, then he isn't reprising his role. I don't think The Sun knows anything beyond the fact Adam has been cast.

Indeed. Usually when actors come back as someone else, like on the soaps, they’ve only previously appeared as a minor occasional character, whereas Donte was one of the biggest characters in the first few series.

I'll give you one to get you going: not a soap, but Jacqueline Hill, who played one of the original Doctor Who companions, came back 15 years later to play a completely different character in a Tom Baker story.

Another one from Doctor Who would be Tom Baker himself, who returned as 'The Curator' in the 50th anniversary special (there is a few theories that both characters are one and the same of course).

Having done my maths, I am guessing Donte and Chlo's daughter will be a pupil at the school in addition to any role within the school.

Even if the maths didn't add up I'm sure they'd adjust the ages accordingly anyhow if they wants some kids of former pupils to feature.
