Spoof Idents
#1
April Fools is upon us; our Marios are dead, Teletubbies are investing in Bitcoin, and in honor of this hell of a day, I wanna know some of your favorite spoof idents, official or unofficial

My favs are probably the Ben Elton BBC balloons:

Of course, a thread dedicated to spoof idents would be incomplete without mention of the Hamlet Channel 4 advert.

Yes, it may have sold you throat cancer, but has anyone ever sold you throat cancer by getting Lambie-Nairn (RIP) and Co. to riff on their own design?

Now that's determination to your craft

...well, not Lambie Nairn's craft, but Hamlet's, actually

Here's another example of someone using a Lambie Nairn project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJuHkfeehk8

(It's not DONE by Martin, but he sure did love it)

Here’s a spoof ident that hasn’t been shown yet: https://youtu.be/zcKPJ5PLczg

I think this still counts as a spoof you can certainly see the influence.

There were quite a few variants but I don't think it's really obvious what they were trying to mimic unless you're like us lot. BBC2 hadn't been using those idents for quite a while.

They sure did love making fun of this set of idents: https://youtu.be/cslLRVfLVCk

The E4 spoof of the dancers falling towards the camera on material suspended from the ceiling is one of my favourites. Looked painful though!

Here's a spoof from outside the UK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EunNpOtR9Pg

There's a lot of this stuff on Quentin Smirhes channel on Youtube. It's a comedy/horror act of sorts.

Wow, never seen that before. Am I right in thinking that's David Schneider, with Harry Enfield on voiceover?

I seem to remember a spoof ITV pugwash ident at the start of Saturday Night Takeaway a few years back, which revealed them to be washing the pug in the sink.
All I can find online though is the pugwash ident with an Ant and Dec voiceover
