I was in the virtual audience for an edition of this, and I think it’s a great show, especially as the prize is monetary rather than a recording contract, so no one is under any illusion of a career being promised for the winner.

Have to wonder if virtual audiences will become the norm for similar shows in the future not being broadcast live. Feels a bit of a better sample than just a studio audience.

I've not been watching it, but seeing the tweets TVZ are putting out, it doesn't sound like it's very good. Am I right to be thinking that?

OK, I have now put it on in anticipation of I'm a Celeb. What was the point in keeping the other guy on stage?
The other guy was kept on stage because if the winner had taken the money and cashed out he would have gone through to tomorrow nights show. I thought the show was ok. The standard of singing was decent and the right person won in my opinion. I’ll be watching again tomorrow night.

It needs to have a "moment" and it certainly didn't have one tonight. The ending seemed a bit clumsy too but sounds like they rework it in future shows. Not good though to have a set design built around the line they supposedly walk, only for when we get to that moment for the contestant just to say they'll walk the line then stand around talking for a couple of minutes before they do.

Must say putting talent and content to one side for a minute anyone else find the set really ugly, or at least the blue/pink colour scheme used for it.

The jeopardy from tomorrow night appears to be that the winner from the previous night has to make the decision to 'Walk the Line' without knowing if they won or not.
But really there isn't much here. It's a fairly bog-standard singing show with a money decision tagged on, and the panel is totally superfluous. I think the money twist is fairly flimsy. It would only be remotely interesting if the winner kept going for a good few nights. Maybe they will.
At this stage the conventional singing contest still feels an incredibly tired genre, and there has to be something more to a format than this. I'd have left it another year or two and revamped XF personally.

Watching it now, but I grind the set very Painful on the eyes, but I’m guessing the Pink & Blue is to go with cinch the sponsor, as for the singing it’s just bog standard. It’s something different at least within the money and set,
