COVID Booster PIF sting
#1
Not seen this before, but I noticed a multi-broadcaster branded little message preceding an NHS Booster Vaccination advert on Channel 4 this afternoon:

Sorry for the poor quality video - not at my usual computer:

It's nice that they're donating airtime for it - but does the viewer care they are? Is it not distracting from the core message a little?

Sky’s logo is a bit big, as big as all the others combined, couldn’t they have just gone with ‘Sky’

So nice to see an PIF Advert that necessary encourage people to get booster dose from NHS.

Wait. The Beeb has not involved in the PIF. I assume that the next time, they will include the BBC logo and shortened sky logo.

I don't see how an ad running on commercial channels advising people to get a booster is a distraction - surely the core message at the moment is to do just that.

Didn't they come together earlier in the pandemic for something similar too?

Not sure if this is what you're referring to.

That and also the other PIF type "stings" that punctuated programme junctions primarily on the BBC. Commercial networks had the full blown treatment and you couldn't sit through any commercial break on any network without seeing a Covid related advert usually as the first one in the batch

I've got no problem with them encouraging people to get their jabs. It's the broadcasters' logos being front and centre that seems a bit unusual to me.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but a full NHS-branded PIF about the importance of getting both the flu and Covid boosters immediately followed that short sting. It was this one where people start glowing once they get their jabs:

That does make a wee bit more sense!

I wonder if they're making a new one then, because that's now out of date (every adult will be offered a booster now).

Doubt it. The good thing about the nurse wearing a mask is that you can easily dub the audio over to change things.

The voiceover was already updated to "Over 40s" today and I'm sure it will be again.

Do viewers in the Border Scotland area get a version with the ITV logo but with the NHS Scotland logo at the bottom (which is a significantly different design from England's NHS logo)? Or is the whole Border region stuck with the "English" version of these kinds of things?

More generally, do all non-terrestrial platforms have the additional feed necessary to replicate to Caldbeck/Selkirk split? Otherwise satellite & cable viewers in Border Scotland are being deprived of e.g. the correct local commercials and opt-out programmes such as Representing Border etc.
