Bottom of Page 31 might be of interest... (I don't think this has been publicly said yet)

I think this may have been mentioned when they announced that Inside Out was going to be axed. Not sure though...

No, I definitely remember something along those lines being mentioned when it was announced.

Ah, I wasn't sure how advanced the plans had been. I wouldn't be surprised if the eventual replacement ends up being a bit more 'original' One Show in focus (socio-cultural) from a regional angle.

I assume this new regional show will be Mondays at 1930 like Inside Out,

Something to watch for...

"We have also announced that Studioworks is proposing to expand physical commercial production studios outside London."

also whoever wrote this in the report needs a paycut

I assume it's a new studio Studioworks is planning to build rather than expanding Elstree. In terms of location, I think Birmingham or Leeds would be good.
#9
It would make sense to expand at Elstree in terms of financial gain and ease.... so that's not going to happen Smile

If I'm being honest I am much more intrigued about the presentation of the BBC Three channel when it returns rather than what programming returns. Will we get some new idents? Or will we be stuck with the ones we had just before it closed?

Well BBC Three now has introduced a new logo over the tricon that they adopted back in 2016 https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/logope...0414130922 so I presume that new idents could be used. Still I am very excited at this prospect

Why are people on twitter acting like bbc four is going to close completely. All that's happening is that the small amount of original programing bbc four does will go to bbc two

Because this has been described wrongly on many articles, or many people, sadly, only care about reading the title of the article, not the full article...

Absolutely, people seemed to be assuming that effectively the channel will be closing altogether! However, the programme funding will be ploughed into BBC Two instead to bolster that channel. So, yes, BBC Four will be losing out but the programming won't necessarily be disappearing altogether. It does show that strong linear TV channels are still needed, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the BBC still need to find the savings somewhere. It's either they are allowed to increase the licence fee more (which would be a very unpopular move especially in the current climate) OR cutbacks have to made. People can't have it both ways.

And remember, people, especially on social media, will always find something to complain about Wink
