This tweet got me thinking about all the theme tunes we have here in the UK. I would struggle to pick a favourite.

Perhaps Only Fools and Horses which isn't in the video above. (The original theme that is!)
Theme tunes also bring back memories to me, I think we are very lucky to have such tunes. Would anyone like to discuss the themes and their favourite tune?

This Morning's theme tune is permanently engraved into most Brit's brains, as it's so catchy and it's the type of happy stuff you would like to hear on a weekday morning.
And bizzarely, I really like BBC Three's funky Sweat The Small Stuff theme tune. I will never be able to explain that one.

The Christmas jingles on the old GMTV theme will always remind me of Christmas .
Yes the original OFAH was a rare Ronnie H misfire, although he did go on to arrange the John Sullivan version.

A selection of my favourites in no particular order are as follows plus little comments why:
KEITH & MATTHEW STRACHAN - Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? = Well, the gameshow theme and music to end all gamehow themes and music.
AS ABOVE - Winning Lines = A stellar followup to a blockbuster epic with the brilliant cherry on the top that is the Wonderwall round music and theme.
ZACK LAURENCE - Force Field (The Crystal Maze) = Need I say more.
ED WELCH - Blockbusters = One of the most fantastic themes ever. Also a testament to its brilliance is that it can survive reworkings and still be as good. Although, not as good as the original of course.
THE ART OF NOISE - (Theme from) The Krypton Factor = Classic and iconic theme.
ANNE DUDLEY - (Theme from) The Krypton Factor = 1995 Variant.
UNKNOWN - Criminal Minds = A weird one to bring up I know. The way the rhythm plays rather than melody speaks to me. Also it is one of those themes that got evolved over the run of the series but didn't lose its identity as it was beefed up brilliantly and you can still detect the original melodies and rhythms in there deep down. I have labelled this as "unknown" as I cannot pin down who out of the four composers were the one that did it.*
JAMES S. LEVINE - NCIS: Los Angeles = A theme that for me is too short but packs one explosive punch.*
DAVID ARCH and SIMON ETCHELL separately - Wipeout = Note the different way I have put the "and" compared to the joint one above. Both brilliant themes Arch for Daniels' era and Etchell for Monkhouse's one. Plus for me, at least Etchell continued with the trumpet sound that Arch started but did his own thing.
*I know these two are U.S. based but throw me a bone.
If I can think of any more, I may post. Then again, I may forget and not so don't hold me to it.
I have lots of favourite TV themes, these are just some of them!
