Katherine Ryan to host new ITV2 dating show Ready to Mingle

ITV2's newest dating show Ready to Mingle is set to arrive on our screens next autumn, with Katherine Ryan taking on presenting duties.

Ryan, who recently starred in the Netflix comedy-drama series The Duchess and is currently hosting All That Glitters: Britain's Next Jewellery Star, has been confirmed to front the new show.

Ready to Mingle will follow the journey of a single woman as she looks for her ideal partner among 12 men who will get the chance to impress her and win her over while also competing for a big cash prize.

Ready to Mingle is currently being filmed at a house in Maidencoombe in South Devon. So far it has apparently caused traffic chaos in the area due to the house being one side of a busy road (the A379) and production site the other side.

'Traffic chaos' - there is one bus in the congestion photo in that article & the video features 3 cars.

I presume this is for primetime - especially with Katherine attached as host. I saw a promo on ITV2 for another dating show due to start in May, which I am guessing is a daytime?

The biggest issue for ITV2 is to try and ensure there's not an over saturation of the 'love' genre? Love Island is their biggest show by a mile, they've recommissioned The Cabins for next winter too. Plus on daytime they have Love Bites & Dress to Impress. But I suppose this is no different to E4 becoming the home of UK Married at First Sight, alongside having Celebs Go Dating!

I believe this is a new format via ITV Studios too, so probably looking at potentially international versions a la Love Island & The Cabins.
