BBC Creative should consider pitching this to Superunion and ask them to make a BBC One rebrand using this spiral symbol.

Network BBC One continuity at 10am here in Northern Ireland. I take it the nations didn’t have access to that ident?

Unusually generic announcement for some reason “some programmes have moved to BBC Two” almost like the sort they’d use on a digital channel that don’t have Live announcers.
I wonder how long that ident has existed for, and whether it was created this week?

I presume this is a one-off and it will return to Oneness tomorrow or later today. That said, is this a sign that oneness coming to an end?

It's not something I'd say no to.
I wouldn't be surprised to see BBC One go abstract, BBC Two and ITV have both recently launched very well received sets of idents that break the 'scenes from real-life' orthodoxy that has existed for nearly 20 years. Maybe the one upside from oneness is that they were so bad, they have put everybody off filmed idents. |
