Should regular users be able to see the mod button in the editor here on the forum? After all, you just get an error message when you try to use the mod BBCode tag that button produces.

Disappointed to have missed out on my pre-registered username, as another user grabbed it by guessing the password half an hour before I had a chance to login for the first time and change it yesterday morning.
As it looks like not all of the pre-registered users have logged in yet, it may be wise to change the passwords for these to something not guessable to avoid them losing their usernames too.

Changing all the passwords would be a manual process which I simply do not have time for at the moment. This was not an isolated incident however, this incident has happened to one other person. I don't know how those users slipped through the net. It's most likely human error on my part, as I should have spotted them, and I didn't. Again, I apologise for any upset or inconvenience. I should point out that I have today deleted the list of pre-registrations (and the Mailchimp account used to create the list) for data protection.

Lots of reasonable constructive feedback here. Important, of course, as that's how things improve and how any issues are ironed out.
I think it's worth noting a few areas where I have been pleasantly surprised, in order to give feedback about what works as well as what doesn't. Firstly, I am loving the ability to be more creative when typing new posts. Being able to change the text size and colour were not possible over in our former blue abode, but it's a great feature. I also appreciate the fact that you now get notifications when someone has quoted your comment. Previously, somebody responding to your comment could easily be missed, now you cannot fail to notice. (On a related note, being able to tag users is similarly useful.) Finally, I think the idea to mark the 'insiders' in a different colour is a very useful tool, and not one which I had even considered previously. Helps to separate the people who actually know how things work behind the scenes first hand, and those who, like me, merely have an interest in the field. Nothing's ever perfect at first, and there will always be changes which can be made for the better in the immediate aftermath of any site's launch, but I thought it important to give some balance on what I feel are the site's positives so you get a rounded view of people's likes and dislikes on the whole.

Not a biggie, not sure if it has been mentioned but the 'online status' feature is quite scary. It shows everyone who is logged on and viewing what thread at a particular time! I see there's an option to hide online status but it doesn't seem to do anything, unless it is just showing the user themselves that info?

Is it just me or has the New Member image on every post gone huge? On mobile at least...

![]() Alright, here's what I've been talking about: My YouTube channel name has a space in it, and the site counts it as an invalid character.

My URL is youtube.com/PATVScunthorpe so therefore I just put PATVScunthorpe
Does this field work by simply adding what you put onto the end of "youtube.com/" so do you need to start it with the "channel/" instead?
