There wasn't particularly anything wrong with what they used but I hope we get a new set of titles and music.

I kind of disagree - I liked the route they took with the stings and the music - classic but felt somewhat current. Of course they didn't have titles but something based on the promo they used would work well, but as it's just four shows they can probably just open with a gag each week and fade the music up. Alot depends on if they get the house or not as the stings were all based around that.

The ‘promo’ is the full version of the titles as seen here:
Assuming they get to use Lock Keepers Cottages and aren't forced to use a regular studio with a mock up replica of the interior as a set, I'd say the opening titles should be a modern day remake of the shorter 8am titles sequences from the original run. Toast popping up from a toaster, with a new fly in to the House as it looks now using a drone, switch to a shot of a table full of breakfasty stuff filmed with a mini drone, finished up with a wide shot of the House and the logo appearing as it does in the promo clip above.
All accompanied by a re-arrangement of the theme tune based upon the original version from the early days without the sound fx. It would be a shame if they can't get to use Lock Keepers Cottages for this limited run. I'd assume the new owners would be well aware of the TV history of their newly acquired property, and they might be more willing to let the House by used for a few Saturday mornings in the summer, rather than if it was a full-on revival of the show for weekday mornings. Given the amount of residential properties in the area since the end of the original run, a full-on revival is highly unlikely unless it was to be broadcast from a regular studio with a mock up replica of the interior as a set.

If they can't get the house I'd rather they find another location (or 4 locations) to accommodate them rather than create something in a studio. With it being summer especially they need outdoor space and I think you would be able to recreate the feel of the show at another location much better than in the confines of a studio as indeed the show often did during it's middle years at least. Doesn't need to be a full blown house - just somewhere that ticks a few boxes and gives them enough space. Indeed with product placement they could probably get the location to cough up the cost.
Has anything been said about other hosts? I hope they don't bring back Judi Love as she seems to be busy appearing on every other show going, and frankly AJ would be better in the On the Bed role anyway. However I think the OB role is still important - even if the show itself ends up on the road a third presenter going around the rest of the site would add something. Would probably change it from Melvin though, although his role suffered from being clearly pre-recorded last year.

If Judi Love doesn’t return and they keep the on the bed interviews how about Tia Kofi following their Eurovision on the bed interviews with Harriet Rose:

The Big Breakfast is recruiting for contestants, families for the new run now. Note the (series 1) mention in the advert suggests more could be on the way after this run?

For some reason I get the feeling that if it goes beyond the first series, Mo won’t return. I think AJ will stick around but Mo’s becoming a huge star at the moment so might want to focus more on his primetime projects.

Anyone know when this new series is starting?

From JasonB's post above it ends on the 3rd September, so must start on the 13th August.
