It seems to have annoyed Dr Who fans which is always a good thing Big Grin
There's been a second Who related fail. The current issue of Doctor Who Magazine uses the old BBC logo - including on the inside front cover which has an incorrect BBC 100 logo - somehow, it's the Gill blocks with the rainbow coloured 100 symbol. How the heck does THAT happen?

There's a Scottish version of this BBC 100 promo (a few brief edits to include Reporting Scotland and other BBC Scotland shows/references)

It might take a second to load as it's over 2 mins:

For someone who think that This is Our BBC promo has only done in one or two versions, that is wrong. Three are many other versions of the promo.
For example, This is Our BBC promo with signing language and subtitles
[Image: This%20is%20Our%20BBC%20sign%20language%20version.png]
Another example is the same promo, but with different ending regarding logo's placement
[Image: This%20is%20Our%20BBC%20v2.png]

I don't know whether Wales and NI version of this promo existed or similar with Network one, but once the respective versions existed, they edited to include references of BBC NI/Cymru Wales.

For someone who think only Doctor Who magazine that used incorrect BBC 100 logo with 1997 BBC logo, Sharing Your Story event in George Pindar School also used the incorrect BBC 100 years logo with old BBC logo intact in two banners, however T-shirt that crew worn are using the new BBC logo.

Okay, this is just getting ridiculous.
Wonderfully weird.

The Green Planet slide on Sunday had the same design for the book and DVD, except the book was the old logo. I feel we're going to be in this transition state for a long time.

I'm not keen on the 100 Years sting, just feels a bit fussy - large BBC logo animating down, then one in the centre that animates to white then coloured blocks. Text fades in then another BBC logo animating at the top, then the coloured blocks constricting back. There's a lot going on in just a few seconds.

Also worth mentioning that the spine of the DVD contains the BBC Earth logo with the 97 blocks.

I expect that by hopefully mid 2022, the BBC would be fully rebranded with all services featuring the 21 blocks.

Getting bored of this. If there is anyone here that hasn’t got the memo yet…

The BBC are currently using two logos alongside each other. It’s not a mistake. People aren’t doing this accidentally or because they are unaware. It’s clearly the plan.

New stuff is still being made with the ‘old’ logo on as they are both current.

The ‘new’ one will take over completely at some point no doubt, but I don’t think that’s going to happen soon.

Overall you’re right. But the 100 Years logo has clearly been designed as part of the rebrand, so to have the old blocks appear with it is almost certainly a cockup rather than part of a well laid plan. And if it is deliberate, I’ll be jiggered if I can fathom the logic.

Even as someone who was supportive of a gradual rollout, I think what you've just said sounds batsh*t.

There is an amazing article from the team behind the promo - explaining that the promo was made possible due to the new online archive system at the BBC - searchable by text from the audio - which explains how they could get the flowing speech stitched together - and all the clips are instantly accessible internally, which is pretty amazing .

It's a 'blink and you'll miss it' kind of thing but the 2013-era BBC News graphics that appear at 1:25 appear to be a recreation, as there's no clock and they use Reith for the 'News' bit of the logo and in the ticker. You'd have thought if they were going to that effort they might as well have put the current BBC logo on them as well!

Unless it’s from some sort of test? Perhaps they were considering just using the same graphics, just in Reith?

As I mentioned a page or so ago. I'm pretty sure the system uses subtitles so it won't cover everything. Also not everything is available, inky what's been digitised

There's different versions of the channel with different combinations of graphics available for various purposes. I'm not sure which that is but possibly the one that gets loop recorded as a backup.

I don't think it's something they've created just for this promo

When does the sign language version air? I guess it’s during Sign Zone on BBC Two?
