He's been gone for so long he wasn't even around for the launch of the original BBC Three- scary!

Here are my final thoughts

I’m currently watching through the iPlayer live channel feed.

The irony of watching the TV relaunch through a laptop, isn’t lost on me!

In addition to @Josh's post on the preceding thread, the Launch Party programme definitely is pre-recorded as it's already up in its entirety on iPlayer.

Weird BBC Three promotion on BBC One!
<t>Presentation party, Saturdays at 23:00! Free pint and area for talking about how much you hate Oneness!</t>

Beat me to it! I was just posting that myself! I was going to comment that surely for the launch (or re-launch) you'd want it live??

EDIT: It's also on Radio 1, which I'm not quite sure I understand the logic of?

Can't be many channels that have launched twice, especially 19 years apart.

Not a big fan of how the hands don't have the same position at the start and end of a promo, causing them to jump around if two BBC Three promos are played in succession, but other than that they've done a good job of the branding here.

The idents are very suitably weird, and it's nice to hear some new CAs on the BBC.
<t>Uh oh.</t>

Nothing's been learnt from BBC Four's DOG. BBC Three's DOG is massive!

On-air now! Forgot I re-allocated the EPG on my TV360 box just today so ended up on the wrong channel number.

I can only assume it’s due to the availability of some of the talent involved.

I see on Sky BBC Three is relegated to LCN 173 in the London region because of London Live using 117.

Sky Glass viewers in England (inc London), Scotland and NI have it on 118 with Wales on 119.

Being pernickety here; I know the CAs are supposed to be pre-recorded, but I got the feeling the one just broadcast might have been live, as the guy doing it seemed to slip up and forget the words "Drag Race" when talking about its premiere at 9pm, and you'd think they'd catch that before it was put to air...
