Ant and Dec's Limitless Win

The concept is basically what appears to be a fairly standard money tree quiz but with no end point. I suspect if it goes past the £1m mark it'll only be slightly, but could potentially see the biggest win in UK gameshow history, though in reality we'll probably see people cashing out around £20k as happens on most gameshows with no safety nets.


Good to see Ant and Dec with a new format though (their first in a while, possibly since the return of Takeaway) and it does look to be the most interesting new primetime quiz format in quite sometime.

And like WWTBAM, ITV have taken out insurance cover over a massive payout to a winner..
.. But, I doubt it will ever get remotely close to that happening.

So glad to see them on a new game show format, since Poker Face (we won’t mention Push The Button). Would’ve been interesting to see them on WWTBAM if Jeremy didn’t take over.

I am sure they developers of the show knew straight away of course the financial headache if contestants win big each week, so we can be pretty near 100% certain that the questions will be of University Challenge style of difficulty as the climb up the money tree progresses.

Limitless Win is a bit of a clunky name. Something like "No Limits" would be snappier.

I think ‘No limits’, is a bit vague. As name I think ‘Limitless Win’ has a rhythm to it, is quite distinctive and better encapsulates the selling point of the format.

I'm aware but that show is hardly in the public consciousness in 2021.

Besides, I said something like that, which says something about the show without being so literal. "Limitless Win" does what it says on the tin but it's so clinical and lacks the pizazz of something like "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" or "Tipping Point" which encapsulate the format while having a bit of personality.

Disagree - the title sums up the show perfectly whilst "No Limits" is quite generic and just gets the 90s song stuck in your head.

Well BGT returns next year but you're getting 6 episodes of them next year (hour long?) in return for an entire series of BGT lost.

Off topic but related to programme titles, there's Starstruck coming soon on ITV and Starstruck which was shown this year on BBC1 and has a second series commissioned.

They should have kept it axed I think- had gotten tired. Or at least they could have gotten Ashley Banjo to replace Simon permanently to freshen the show up.

I think it looks great, and I feel the time is right for a new high stakes game show format, it’s been eleven years since The Million Pound Drop, which was arguably the last truly successful such show.
