According to a report from someone who went to the filming episode 1 and 2 are interchangeable (as Joel’s links were filmed twice to reflect either option) and the producers were deciding after filming which one will air first.

Doesn’t that then effect the airing of episodes 3 & 4 because they tally with the remaining contestants from 1 & 2?

Not really. The group is split in the first four episodes with one on episode 1/3 and the other on 2/4, so makes sense I guess they can switch them around.

I can confirm that The Masked Singer starts on New Years Day at 7pm and on 2nd January at 7:30pm.

The Masked Singer tonight! Here are the details of who will be singing tonight.
Mushroom vs Robobunny, Doughnuts vs Chandelier, and Lionfish vs Firework. I predict out of the first 6, either Lionfish or Mushroom could be eliminated. What are your predictions for tonight’s show?
