Now two news helicopters from Redhill up over the scene - G-BPRI for Sky and G-TOPC for BBC, I believe.

Sky need to be careful showing those images live, They showed the ambulances driving off slowly without blues on and the medical copter crew idlng about, Doesn't scream good news for the MP Sad

Absolutely shocked by this news - just hearing that they've had to operate on site as I type this; Sir David's condition is being described as "very serious" - regardless of anyone's political views, here's hoping that he pulls through. Can't help but think of the terrible murder of Jo Cox having just heard about this news.

EDIT: Air ambulance just preparing for take off now.

GB News just said they were "reporting the death" followed by an apology from the presenter.

The BBC is now reporting that there has been a death at the scene however no word on who it is.
