Granada were associated with film making for a while, albeit The Queen was probably the biggest film they were associated with, and it’s the only film I’ve ever seen that logo being used. The 2001 film Ghost World has the purple GR/\N/\D/\ ident (the same ones seen on their DVD’s of that era) at the start of it if memory serves.
The Queen was probably the last Major film they were associated with but it wasn't their biggest. That would have been My Left Foot in 1989 which won 2 Oscars, They also produced The Field in 1990 which got an Academy Award nomination for Richard Harris. They seemed to have been fairly active film-wise during the 1990's so there might be others. Whenever Granada Films appeared on the screen, it was likely to be a gritty tale.

I'm probably wrong but I think The Queen was originally going to be a TV film similar to The Deal but ended up becoming a feature length film. The upside of Granada funding it was that it premiered on ITV a year later.

The Granada name was kept for some of ITVs international distribution and production after it stopped being used as the name of the company or channel.

Yeah, they only rebranded them as ITV Studios in 2013.
Didn't even know the film was on Netflix. The Queen was the only film to use this Granada logo.

The Granada name had been dropped on-screen and that font was last seen in 1989.
The font here is Clarendon Bold... the one that Granada used until '89 was Egizio Bold.
