So after an impulsive bid on my part the other night I'm soon to be the proud owner of this:

Does anyone know where it was used - I'm going to assume BBC Local Radio somewhere around the UK, pre-ViLoR - and what the acronyms stand for, I worked out RATS and BNCS!

Not quite Television Centre signage - I just need to shell out for a Leitch analogue clock now to complete it.

Anyone else bought anything TV geeky on impulse from eBay or other auctions (I know Bail bought some desks!). I did manage to buy an SGi Onyx the other year for £190 from Llandaff's clearance auction but sadly couldn't get out to Wales to collect it on the very specific day and time for collections... the BBC ended up with my money and I ended up with nothing!

There was a discussion about this on a Facebook group I'm on when it came up for sale. IIRC the conclusion was that it was from BBC Wales. I'll try and find it

That answers that - I was wondering if I could make it do anything with a Raspberry Pi as it is triggered by ethernet - something silly like light up RATS alert when work ring me to cancel a rest day...
