Good Morning Britain
Interesting tweets from Piers this afternoon. He’s still actually in a contract with GMB.

He made a big thing of how he left the programme because he refused to apologise for something he truly believed in, and made out that he'd taken one for the team, acted selflessly for the greater good, that his departure was some sort of noble moral victory over all those who would try to stifle free speech... Yet now, less than three months later, he's piping up with how he'd love to be back as a guest presenter. He had a choice and chose not to apologise and leave. You know what they say you have to do when you make your bed... You're off the show, Piers. Move on, kidda - it's getting embarrassing.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."

I personally wouldn't be surprised If he returns for a week in July or August as a Guest presenter since that on paper, he's still under contract to host GMB until the end of the year.

But even if he does return to GMB as a Guest Presenter, I doubt that he would return to GMB permanently
I highly doubt ITV would have him back as a guest presenter, certainly not in the near future. He left because he refused to apologise for his comments, and doing so was damaging the reputation of ITV. A few months on nothing has changed surely?
I doubt he'll be asked back. Remember, the day he made those comments, ITV dropped the Britiain Get Talking bumpers and DOGs for a few days. I doubt they'll want him back as he's seen by some as being incompatible with the campaign.

I guess you made a good point.
If he was so poisonous for ITV, surely they'd have dropped Life Stories :?:
I wonder if he will actually make a return.

No, he won't. He is just seeking publicity. ITV won't have him back on GMB, but perhaps Life Stories has been kept for now because it is a different show entirely to GMB, he is in a different 'mode' on LS and upcoming episodes might be boosted due to the events regarding his GMB departure.

I doubt that ITV would even let him return to GMB as a Presenter (at lest not yet). And even if he did return to GMB as a Presenter, I think that it would only be for a week or 2 during Half Term. I doubt that there's any way on earth that ITV would let him go back to GMB permanently

I wouldn't be surprised if ITV and Piers part ways once his golden handcuffs deal end but I'm sure the other broadcasters with perhaps the exception of Channel 4 would want to work with him as he is a very good interviewer on things like Life Stories and the various docs he has done over the years.

I wouldn't be surprised either
To Continue Yesterday's conversation. If Piers did want to return to GMB (even for a week) and ITV let him go back on.

1) I think that he would continue where he left off with his Meghan vendetta
and 2) I think that Thousands of people would (Rightfully) complain to Ofcom about him
He is not coming back to GMB. It’s pointless to speculate.
<t>I taught them everything......</t>
