As we suspected it's Hazel and Andrew on commentary duty this evening

The audio isn't the best, feels like we're hearing it through the speakers of the stadium and not an actual output for want of a better word.

The sound is a bit all over the place! There’s a strange echo which I assume is from the Stadium PA system?

Ah reminds me of the 2014 UK Eurovision postcard. But why a UK flag, and God Save the Queen, and not the English flag and Jerusalem?

Possibly the worst shot of the red arrows from the helicopter I've ever seen

There's something really off-putting about the lip-synced speech

This website (a spin-off of the main site) breaks down each session into individual times; the entry lists and start lists and results also there. https://results.birmingham2022.com/#/general-schedule
Thanks for that Rhys.
They've been quite clever with the staging here by focusing on a small stage at one end of the stadium (which looks great). Working well for TV, though perhaps not so great for those in the stadium.

Think this would have benefited from starting at 9 with less daylight. I keep spotting quite a few uninterested volunteers (though maybe that's because I'm watching in UHD!) and the odd shape of the stadium might have benefited a little from the cloak of darkness.
Yes, I was quite surprised they went for an 8pm start considering London, Glasgow and Manchester all waited till 9pm. Perhaps the stadium being in a residential area might be a factor.
These presenters feel unnecessary - almost break filler at Eurovision!

This presenter cutaway is very Eurovision green room-y, yes.

The athletes parades drag as they are - adding interviews and good luck messages is only going to make it feel like it drags longer.
