That's an outdated ITV logo on that graphic, ITV Cymru Wales.

You expect the news to move around and be shortened during the Championships, which it does, but on Tuesday ITV have no evening news at all, running coverage of the 5pm kick-off from 4.00-7.10pm then having 50 minutes build up to France v Germany which kicks off at 8.00pm.

With Royal Ascot the Lunchtime News is at 1pm and News at Ten at 10.20pm, with local news for 10 minutes at 1.20pm and then scheduled in a 20 minute slot at 10.50pm. I'd have thought they'd at least have put half an hour of news in at 4pm, or squeezed a short bulletin in between 7.10pm and 7.30pm. We've seen them skip the teatimes bulletins at the weekend before, but I'm not sure they have on weekdays.

As that Beeb announcement illustrates, one benefit of the coverage being UK-based is that there are opportunities for people to come in for one or two games without having to commit to doing the whole thing, as would usually be the case.

This is a bit like what ITV did in 2008, when they were based in London for the whole thing - they had Andy Townsend for pretty much every match, and then another pundit each night, often one with some connection to the specific fixture, which meant they could use quite a lot of people, many of whom couldn't commit to the whole thing, like Gary Neville and David Moyes, and a few of whom only did one match. There are benefits to that approach, but on the other hand it meant it didn't feel like a tournament where part of the excitement comes from the on-air team being there throughout, it just felt like a bog-standard Champions League game.

Obviously this time around there was always going to be the challenge of actually making it feel like a tournament and not just a load of unconnected matches, and probably even more so now, so it'll be interesting to see how it comes across on screen, on both channels.

Forgot to say, the baffling thing about that ITV Wales preview is that it's on at 9.30 on Friday, at the same time of the opening match of the Euros, which features two of the teams in Wales' group. Think Welsh football fans might be a bit more interested in that, to be honest.

Is it just my guide or is the Czech Republic v England match on the 22nd June being simulcast on ITV2?

Yes, so viewers in Scotland can see it while STV shows the Scotland match.

Same as 2016 when England and Wales were playing at the same time. I imagine they'll mock up something like this again.

So the titles just debuted on BBC One. Liking the visuals not sure about the music.

The usual yellow straps are now blue (blue being the official colour of the worldwide graphics this year).

Always great to see the 1996 BBC Sport globe ident getting an outing too, along with Des.

And that was after the early 90s version appeared for Dan's last Football Focus the other week.

Nice studio too but an oversight IMO to have the blue "screen" in the corner of shot behind Gary.

So nice though to have a big international sporting event back on TV after the last year.

I missed the titles, studio looks great though, graphics have a strange colour scheme presume it’s to do with the colours of the official tournament.

The studio chairs and desk seem to be based on what’s in the new virtual BBC Sport studio rather than the usual MOTD one. Although I imagine it is the regular MOTD studio they’re using as the other studio looks too small to accommodate three pundits that well spread apart.

Also a hint of the last TVC BBC Sport set.

I'm loving the colour scheme.. graphics look very nice with that teal colour.

Studio doesn't look too bad (and more importantly the preview show itself has been pretty good so far), just a bit of a shame about the music. ITV seem to have been better on that front in recent years so here's hoping for something good from them.
