The Grampian announcement into Stars in Their Eyes was on YouTube until recently (I looked for it today and couldn’t find it), in which Annie Scott announces that they wouldn’t be showing Blind Date that evening due to the death of the Queen Mother.

That would suggest they didn’t take the national revised menu announcement either.

Some UK Nick Jr and CBBC on Nickelodeon continuity. Judging by the presentation style on the latter, it's from January 1997, months before the BBC logo change on the 4th of October that year.

Some UK Nick Jr and CBBC on Nickelodeon continuity. Judging by the presentation style on the latter, it's from January 1997, months before the BBC logo change on the 4th of October that year.

The programme at the start (which I have a very vague memory of) has an interesting endcap listing "Survival Anglia Ltd." as a co-producer.

Also interesting to see the actual Otis doing it - by the end of its run it was some other aardvark, did the original Otis demand too much money?

Marvin The Aardvark was the second presenter. He and Otis are cousins apparently, it says here.

Marvin (it also says here) was effectively exclusive to CBBC on Nickelodeon. Once they dropped the strand, he was never seen again even on CBBC. Compared to Otis who was far more prevalent and therefore better remembered.

Erm sorry for interrupting but I think I should point out that you made a mistake of putting in the wrong date when you uploaded BBC News: 15th November 2001 when the actual correct date is 17th November 2001 because that's when Parkinson aired on a Saturday night and not Thursday night, and also I think you ought to check the date on the clip titled BBC One: Promo & Continuity - 4th September 2000 because both Waking the Dead and McCready and Daughter didn't air at the same time in September 2000 where as it did in June 2001.

What you should have said was:

"Hi Rob, thanks for the video. The BBC News video you posted seems to have the wrong date on it, I think it was actually the 17th of November 2001, not the 15th. Also related, the Promo & Continuity video dated 4th September 2000 doesn't sound right either." You didn't need all the other fluff, you could have just posted a link to the appropriate entries on Genome.
