Actually i think it's more of a return of the Circles.

I'm sorry but you are wrong, the logo that we currently have was designed to never be outdated, the current BBC logo is refreshing, modern, iconic and timeless. This new logo will be very outdated in a little while, it's going backwards not forwards, but believe what you want to believe, that's fine for me
The presentation package looks great and I look forward to seeing it properly on screen whenever that might be. I doubt we will know anything more until a few days before because they won't want the press slagging them off for a fortnight with idiotic "BBC Wasters Licence fee Money on Idents" blah, blah, blah. So they will likely limit the attention to a couple of days before. I wish the BBC would make a statement prior to any launch to explain what and why they have done what they've done. Be one step ahead, particularly as the new Culture secretary seems to resent the very existence of the BBC, so they should avoid giving the vultures ammunition.

You would think they'd have tried to get it ready in time for the start of Autumn programming such as the launch of SCD in order to create the biggest impact.

It's a shame they're not aiming for Monday 18th October. That's the BBC's 99th anniversary. It would be a great way to mark the start of their 100th year.

There’s absolutely no need for this kind of post. I expressed my opinion – I don’t need to be shot down for it.
Honestly I think Rob and the other mods need to put a stop to this kind of garbage because quite frankly there’s no need for me to engage further with the topic or forum if I can expect that. I reckon some members need to learn the difference between subjectivity and objectivity. And on the other extreme, it’s okay to not like the new logo too – there is no right or wrong here.

I've only seen screengrabs on the TVLive Twitter account, but as I missed the video, I won't pass judgement until I've seen it on the channels later this month.
However I will miss the Gil Sans blocks, they've served the BBC well more than their previous logos.
I suppose people have been screaming for a bold, 'dynamic' OSP since the blue site - and we're about to get it.
I like it so far, but reserving full judgement for when it launches
