Still the frustrationg though of them not crossing to live coverage until 25 minutes after matches began.   They wouldn't do that on the football so no excuse on the tennis.   Kind of serves them right that a few minutes later it began to rain.

Isa will be an asset long term but I think for day one of her final championships Sue should have kicked things off.

Will be interesting to see whether it is Sue or Claire on BBC1 at 7pm - with the later start I'm guessing Sue may hang around for all three matches on centre, especially with Murray on today.    Most 7pm handovers will likely be out of vision anyway.

Guessing we may see the news shunted to allow Raducanu and Murray to stay on One. National on Two then a short regional upsummer when time allows?

Doubt it, it’s only the first round

Exactly, and they're back on BBC1 at 7pm anyhow. As things stand Raducanu may get on in about an hour so if it goes well (or very badly) be done by 6pm, leaving the early exchanges of the Murray match to BBC2 before going to BBC1 for the conclusion.

Sue still doing continuity on BBC1 and BBC2 then, so looks like Isa only around for the first couple of hours. Was there a handover or did Sue just appear on BBC1 and Isa vanish from BBC2?

Anyone experiencing picture/sound freezes on UHD? My own connection is almost always 100%.

Are you comparing to other BBC UHD streams or other companies streams? The BBC ones are higher bitrate.

You may find you struggle reliably bringing those streams in over wifi.

Cracking match on BBC2 at the moment in the tail end of the 4th set which looks likely to go to a 5th but undoubtedly set to be dumped to pick up the Raducanu match.

Looks like the Murray match could go past 8.30 so be interesting to see if they keep that on BBC1. Suspect they're OK with dumping Extraordinary Portraits but not so much Sherwood.

This is the first year Wimbledon has been regularly scheduled after 6pm on BBC1 since the old teatime slot in 1983 -

Given people now get home and go to bed later, plus the news is at ten of course, not too different to what we're getting this year.

Of course in 1994 there was the one-off occasion where CBBC was on BBC2 and Neighbours was at 7pm, followed by an unbilled cartoon at 7.25, and Pops at eight -

Sue was on BBC One at the same time, and is back courtside between Raducanu and Murray, which she wouldn't have done so most likely last year.

Just rewinding the iPlayer earlier to catch set point again and the difference with Andrew Cotters commentary compared to Clare coming in the second the point was won is so stark - a case where waiting 10 seconds to advise viewers of the changes would have made all the difference.

Sue Barker on BBC One at 7pm so looks like she is indeed starting later to finish later up until 8:30.

I enjoyed the banter John McEnroe has with Sue earlier. ‘Someone told me this was your last Wimbledon, you cannot be serious..’ etc and then he pressed her on why she was giving up

Have they changed the colour of the left hand column on the official graphics. White this year with a "Centre Court 100" logo, which itself seems odd for the non-Centre Court games. I'm sure they used to be green or purple.

I assumed it was just appearing on Centre Court’s matches? Is it not?!
