Good Morning Britain

When Fox News used to be on Sky, I used to enjoy watching Fox and Friends, their three host breakfast programme. During the time I used to dip in to it, would have been in the pre-Trump presidency era, it was always worth a laugh, just at how unbalanced and unfair they were.

GB News could make some use of this format to try and give an alternative to GMB.

I can see GB News breakfast show getting viewers on a par with London Live's former breakfast show Wake Up London, which was very little.
GMB pulled in just 450k viewers yesterday, according to Darren Grimes. Even during half-term, that seems very low.

I notice the promo they are playing asking people to vote for GMB in the NTAs includes clips of Piers hosting the show, not just clips of him in the background but actual clips.

Normally when a presenter leaves a show they wouldnt still feature them in a promo and often they are erased from history, whereas here it’s the complete opposite and they are acting like he’s still a part of the programme

They need Madeley - other than Piers he's the only person I can see bringing the ratings back up.

They've got Madeley tomorrow.

Richard Madely is such a natural presenter. The problem with him is that he doesn't seem to have much chemistry with Susanna Reid. (Though I have not seen them together all that much.)
I'd wager he knows a cracking owl sanctuary he could take her to.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."
It’s no wonder it’s rating low at the moment, you’ve got people like Ranvir trying to do poor impressions of Piers by having ‘fiery exchanges’ with politicians, but she neither is Piers, nor in her current shouty persona, has the warmth of the likes of Kate Garraway, so the show is currently in neither one thing or the other
Piers’ response:

It was lower on Monday. 420k. Of course, they have the excuse of Bank Holiday on that day.
With this standard of content, is it any wonder ?

I know - I was referring to having him full-time.

I think they'll end up splitting it between Richard Madeley and Adil Ray.
I've said it before, but I believe a stint from either Rob Rinder or Jeremy Kyle would really add something different. Rob would have an amazing chemistry with Susanna and we know that Jeremy can be really strong at interviewing and accurately holding people to account from his previous guest stints.

As much as I like Adil, it clearly isnt working like they thought, so why not try some other options?
In other slightly related news, Cat Deeley is fantastic covering for Lorraine. An absolute pro.
