Star Trek - Strange New Worlds has landed and it's amazing

I'll definitely give it a go and thanks for the tip. My mate says the first two series are watchable but then it really picks up from the third series onwards.

As with most Trek, it "grows the beard" with the third season. You may want to skip the season 1 episode "Move Along Home". Many episodes were TNG scripts repurposed, and it wasn't until the end of Season 2 that Steven Ira Behr became the main showrunner.

Wow, even Sisko's actor Avery Brooks doesn't like that episode.

For me, Lower Decks is the best Trek since Voyager. It captures perfectly the style, attitudes, and values of the Star Trek universe before Discovery. It's genuinely funny, but the stories are great too.

Discovery S1 was great. S2 so-so. S3&4 absolutely dire, although at least Burnham didn't cry in every episode of S4!

I'm loving Picard S2 better than S1. There was a lull mid-season, but this one is much more fast paced even if feels like they've done a two part TNG episode over a longer run.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Wow! Amazing first episode.

Lots of it reminded me of being a small boy watching the original series and loving it.
