It's one day a year - usually harmless and there is no harm in breaking the regular cycle for something which may be considered a bit of fluff. Yes, they go over the top on it but it's an over the top event, and generally gives them the opportunity to speak to stars who they simple can't for the rest of the year. Not every episode every day of the year has to be the same.
