Well, indeed, and when they covered the Oscars last year, it was when they did the whole show live from LA and devoted about 95% of the show to it, despite the fact there was severe weather affecting most of the UK and Covid was becoming a big thing, both of which they pretty much ignored. That seemed to get a very poor reaction, and it was one of the lowest-rated editions of the entire year, so you would think that, even if the Oscars had taken place as usual this year, they might have eased off on the coverage because it was clear the audience aren't that interested. Certainly not to make it more than, as mentioned, just another story.
