Whilst BBC1 South West during the 80s had Spotlight Sport & News, presented mostly by Dick Woodacre. By the 1992 rebrand this had changed to Spotlight News & Sport, and was usually handled by the duty weekend newscaster.
Westcountry would have an edition of Westcountry Weekend Latest, later Westcountry News, come from the main studio rather than the bulletin studio. The duty weekend newscaster, ususally someone from the local studios, would handle the news part and Mark Tyler would handle the sport, the segment being called Scoreboard. That arrangement would last until about 2002. Occasionally Martin Dean or someone else would sub for Mark.
