Bolt from the blue really, though I did note the NHL pick up. While I’m in principle a big fan of competition splitting rights over more services isn’t good for the causal fan.
This also removes ROI viewers access to these games on Sky, although I understand the tender for the ROI rights to these games (currently held by VMTV) closed at the same time, I question whether VMTV having recently closed its sports channel that they would remain interested in such a big package of rights.
The last ROI deal with VMTV was similar, included all matches except those featuring the Republic of Ireland. Although European Qualifiers games featuring Ireland are listed (and were separately bid for and won by RTE) Nations League games are not and were exclusively on Sky.

How did England matches be exempt as they aren't on the OFCOM list for Free to Air coverage unless Channel 4 or ITV offered big bucks?
