Some articles online suggesting the cutting of his show by 1 hour to make way for Andrew Marr was part of his frustrations.
I don't think so, according to his Twitter feed (and contributions from some of his industry friends) he's been planning his retirement for 18 months. I'd be inclined to think Marr is part of Global's plan to eventually fill the gap.
Marr's programme is getting better, and finding its feet, he seems to be finally learning you don't need to shout on the radio !
