I know it says "might look" but three hours of new content a night is very unrepresentative of how the schedule will look most nights. There will be repeats 8-11pm.
There is a place for BBC3 shows on BBC1 but the problem is that for so long the BBC have catered almost exclusively for older audiences that it would be difficult for them to do well given that the average age of a BBC1 viewer is vastly outwith the intended audience for such programming. Yes, BBC1 is for everyone but the BBC need to instil faith in younger viewers that they are being represented by airing programmes for them on the main channel - and giving them an equal standing alongside those intended for older viewers - instead of fobbing them off with a channel that will be mostly repeats a few weeks after launch.
