Preferred Lisa Rogers myself. Amanda wasn't bad but her humour always feels somewhat forced and scripted. It was exactly the same on Total Wipeout.

There was an advert on Channel 4 earlier this evening for the return of the Big Breakfast, confirming it will be from a new house.

There was no reason though to doubt them in the first place.
Will be interesting to see the location - really hoping it has potential for a proper revival. Sadly though I just doubt C4 are willing to invest and give the show the time they did in 1992 to go for that - the best we can probably hope for is it shows there is an audience for something other than cooking on Saturday mornings, though realistically I suspect it'll be a distant third behind Saturday Kitchen and James Martin - and probably have a cookery segment of it's own as the one off episode did last year.

Yes, agree with the "handover" - does kind of help for us old timers.
I'm guessing they'll be no news element with it being on Saturday morning (and there has been no mention of such), other than probably a spoof bulletin with Barty Crease.

Just saw the promo during gogglebox. They do show the new house but blurred and with a huge pink question mark overlaid for some reason. It looks strikingy similar to lock keepers cottages and is white with black windows....giving very 1996 vibes.

The house was a big part of the original show but it was not the be all and end all.
A carefully chosen new “house” will work just as well.
As others have pointed out, we’ve also had a “handover” to the new hosts in the old house. Which shouldn’t matter but somehow….does.
Looking forward to what they do with this.
Really wish we could have it every weekday though.

Still not caught the promo but at least C4 are giving it some healthy promotion this time - last year it only got two or three days. Would be interesting to know how well it did on All4 after given live it was only watched in the tens of thousands, but almost universally praised. I've no doubt had it been on for a full week it would have at least have doubled it's audience by the end of the week.
Indeed perhaps that should be the next step - a week of episodes in C4's 40th Birthday week.

This promo hasn't appeared on YouTube yet. Guess i'll have to keep an eye out for it on C4. Have they been running it in their morning comedy block?
