Sorry...... what?

That's the phrase I use to describe what goes on inside companies, like financial decisions, budget cuts and what not.

It stresses me out, that's why I don't pay attention to it - I pay more attention to the branding department

Personally, I don't see where some of the forum posters are complaining about, especially considering we've already seen the system (in prototype form obviously) back in October, so where are the complaints there exactly?

One minor gripe, but one I could probably understand, is that the symbols don't exactly return to their origin BBC logo form, which ruins the sort of dynamic flow of ident to bumper. But I know that BBC One, Two, Three and Four basically just transition back into that form anyway, lens, curve, hands, quarters, whatever.
Also known as "Allanbuzzy" on other places.

Yes it’s a shame it doesn’t head back to the top of the screen to form the BBC logo. A fade to the blip words but is less snazzy.

I’m interested to see what circumstances - if any - we’ll see News and Weather icons. I can’t think of any promos that would warrant those.

News Channel often has promos for the BBC News app and BBC Weather app.
And I can see them being incorporated into a new look when they finally replace the BBC News titles.
RARE BBC iPlayer logo transitioned into iPlayer icon with "Watch Now" text below the icon appeared in BBC Two continuity into Marrying Mum and Dad at 07:00 a.m. Makes it believe that the animation similar to iPlayer would also applied to BBC Sounds.

The animation being cut off like that is hilarious

Jesus they still used the old iPlayer logo on this CBBC trail… looks TERRIBLE!

Speaking of which, when are they going to change the BBC logos on TV guides (like Sky, etc.)?

I know it's not exactly BBC TV related, but if you check the Radio Times website, the logo of BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra has been updated, the rest have not been updated (phew!)

The new branding for Radio Ulster looks beautiful! It looked like some parts of the elements were blurred, but it's not. Also, the new icons are nice too.

Also, from this image that was in a BBC Brand Refresh case study, you might see elements of all of the radio networks new looks. [Image: 661177_0ef14e9d98dc4664906131bd51e3c588.jpeg]
The green bit in Ulster's branding there looks a little bit TSW-esque.
Now that the symbols are starting to appear on TV, I do think that this rebrand is broadly a success - compared to the mishmash of channel brands a year ago, it looks slick.

But the inconsistency of promos is still bugging me.

The programme name is left-aligned, unless it’s the programme’s logo when it’s centred.

Sometimes the time of the programme is above the channel name, sometimes it animates to replace the channel name.

The BBC Sport menu looks a right mess - the most crucial information - time and channel, is the smallest.

They seem a little unsure how to deal with iPlayer or Sounds only promos. A Ukraincast Sounds slide appeared after the news tonight with no sign of the symbol.
Indeed the CA voiced over promos that I’ve seen have been really poorly executed lately, no animation of the blocks so they really need to sort that out.
