I did try that but it wouldn’t update on mine and I wanted the new icon straightaway Big Grin

They’ve all just updated for me - News, Sport, Sounds and iPlayer.

I love these icons can’t wait to see it on screen.

You can force an update by going into the App Store app. Tap on your profile pic (top right) and you can then update any new versions of apps.
Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere, but I noticed MOTDx was showing the BBC Sounds logo animating on and off on one of their captions. I don't think I've seen this before:

The new icons are now on this menu, looks good.
This is on Freeview Play.
It'd be fun if we got a confirmation from a Verified when the icons'll come on screen Tongue

That looks really cool! I wonder if iPlayer might also have a graphic like that too for programmes on there.
Quite rare for the BBC to advertise a drama in the first weekend of April that doesn't air till the autumn. Even though SAS Rogue Heroes will have crossover appeal with the Peaky Blinders audience kind of feels that by promoting that now they've not got much else coming up in the weeks and month ahead.

What’s happened with BBC Weather? You wouldn’t have thought that was a tricky thing to rebrand. Change the blocks, update the app icon. Job done.

Get on with it!!
New BBC Music Magazine logo appeared on their social media page. It Is the latest non-core services to used the new BBC blocks logo.
https://twitter.com/MusicMagazine

New BBC logos also appeared on April 2022 edition of BBC Wildlife Magazine and BBC Good Food Magazine (only Easter Parade edition, another edition still used old Gill Sans logo)

Sadly, these magazines only used Reith BBC logo that replacing old Gill and not rebranding all magazines to Reith font, particularly BBC wildlife Magazine that used the new logo five months prior. Since they are non-core services, this have been not big deal for them to changing these magazine brands.

Someone seeing Radio Times website TV listing will see new BBC channels logo in Reith font, except BBC Three used old pink colour instead of light green.
The 5 Live logo in action on social media videos now, along with the icon version of the BBC Sounds endcap.

Plus a nice innocent uplifting story. Or lifting down to be more precise.

@Brekkietweets
The BBC magazines, being commercial endeavours, would not need to switch to Reith to save the BBC font licensing costs.

The publisher would have the correct commercial licenses in place already.

Good to see the full icon at the end. I’ve no idea why there’s such a delay on rolling these out, all trails on TV are still ending with the plain iPlayer/Sounds text when we know this is supposed to have a lovely animation of the BBC blocks forming the respective icons. No idea what they’re waiting for.
Like I said the other day - it'd be fun if a Verified told us info about that.
