The frustrating thing with most of the Aussie reality shows is they don't have a consistent episode length due to how fast and loose the Aussie networks play with the schedules (a show scheduled to finish at 9pm often won't finish till 9.20pm), meaning the first weeks episodes are 1h21m, 1h10m, 55m and 50m, and BBC3 are having to backfill to line up the schedule.
E4 I think edit their acquisitions to fit the 90 minute minute slot from 7.30pm, though MAFS does occassionally run past that, whilst commercial TV also has the advantage of being able to tweak their promo and ad quantity to get a show to fit a slot.

Graphics producer / journo uses promo graphic template, searches for "BBC Three" in the logo template list, a "BBC Three" logo appears. Doesn't seem too difficult to make the mistake to me.
If you don't know, you don't know that you don't know. Most people don't take branding in like we do. That doesn't mean it doesn't matter, but you can hardly be surprised when journalists (probably outside the target age range) get it wrong.
If you don't consume are are not interested in BBC Three, that probably looks correct. It says BBC Three, looks familiar, and you are in a hurry getting a report done. Why would you double check?
That doesn't mean there shouldn't be more processes in place but – asking why/how it happens, thinking it's somehow deliberate? Nah.

Bear in mind that they also used the previous One logo when they were promoting the Djokovic interview - this is neither an isolated incident nor that surprising (it technically "works" as an indicator of which channel to watch!)
Still waiting on DVB-T2! She/they.
Isn't Varnish actually the name of the nail polish ident?
