WOW. Just posted my last comment and it went before my eyes. Thought it was closing at midnight?! Well done Asa, great way of ending it with that slowly expanding countdown!
I was slightly startled too when I heard the announcement on my browser. Wasn't expecting it to go until midnight. RIP.

That was actually quite sad to watch. Who knew it was possible to get emotional over a website closing, but 20 years is a long time.
Kudos to Asa for the ending there! Absolutely the way TV Forum should have bowed out. And at 22:03 as well - what a nice nod to the launch date 22/03/2001.
RIP, TV Forum

A suitably professional, classy, and well-executed closedown.
Wouldn't expect anything less.
Now if you'll excuse me, I think my, um, hay fever is acting up ...

That was a class send off.
Hopefully there will be a way to experience the countdown again but understandable if not. Looked brilliant from what Andrew Wood posted.

Bye bye TV Forum. It was a blast.
To Rob and Asa, thanks again for providing a new home to this precious community.

That's it.
It's just very odd - whether as poster or guest the forum has always been a constant since I was 16 years old. I'm nearly 40 now. An unbelievable amount of change in that time. As I said at the time, it's another part of my past that has itself slid into the past.
As I also said at the time, the announcement wasn't a massive surprise. Time to look to the future.
Well I guess this as good a point as any to make my first post here! Better update my bookmarks - I've absent-mindedly clicked the TVF bookmark at least twice already since it closed...
