Campbell’s interview of Hancock was good telly today.

I agree. He was friendly but firm. I felt they managed to get more information from Hancock although Susannah not happy to get a date for an inquiry into the government's handling of covid.

I agree. Friendly but firm. Piers lacked both of these qualities and was just rude and aggressive

i don't watch a lot on the ITV Hub but I find Alastair interesting so it'd be good to catch-up. Does anyone know if the Hub tends to be a bit hit and missy as to whether they upload shows like GMB? I remember they didn't upload the infamous Piers walkout edition, but that was understandable.

All to do with Campbell not understanding why the media refers to the Prime Minister as 'Boris' rather than 'Mr Johnson' or 'Boris Johnson', etc. There was a debate about it at 6.30.

Doubtful that he'd mention it on Loose Men, surely.
Tomorrow's Loose Men was filmed last week apparently. (There are clips from it in the trailers too)

I think the issue is that some see calling the PM ‘Boris’ rather plays up to an image of him as a loveable, daft chum, which arguably benefits his appeal. In contrast, I don’t think ‘Maggie’ was ever used in a particularly positive way.

My recollection 'Maggie' was used by those who hated, and loved her, admittedly with different inflections, and perhaps skewed towards the 'negative' ?

You could arguably say applies to Mr Johnson, (perhaps skewed towards the positive though)?

plus there are some on TV calling him "Boris". I am yet to find a TV clip where Thatcher was called "Maggie", by an interviewee or newscaster - from what I've seen it was always "The Prime Minister" or "Mrs Thatcher".
