Sorry for being an idiot. But for the layman, what is a DNS server? Sorry to ask.

It's something that can balls up access to your website when the info gets corrupted.

A Domain Name Server is essentially like a phone directory - you give it the name of the website and the nameserver gives you the IP address of the host server to connect to to access the site.

In this instance, I'd updated an entry to point at a CDN - and that didn't work. I then amended another entry which didn't work. On top of that, trying to go back to the original configuration also hasn't worked. Being smart, I thought I'd transfer the domain to my current host so it's all in one place - but the earliest that will be is the 11th May.

Thank goodness for back up addresses (which I'm not touching with a barge poll) tig.gy, ident.gallery and theidentgallery.com

Two things.
1 - A curiosity. Why some channels end to be archived? It means "I won't cap idents from those channels anymore"?
2 - With moving channels to different categories, Sony Crime Channel was left in the factual section. It should not be moved to the defuct channels instead?

[Andrew Wood]

You're almost correct about Archived channels - it's not that I won't capture from them any more, it's that I don't have access to them and am unable to capture from them.

As for misplaced channels in the menu, If you spot others, by all means use the feedback form on the site and I'll check.
