The pedant in me (which, to be frank, is most of me) is somewhat annoyed that that video is titled "chronology of idents" when the video actually features a mixture of idents, titles, or both depending on which era the clip is from.
Probably best to put it here. BBC News journalists were attacked in Sri Lanka, and were demanded to delete the footage.

Just wanted to say as an occasional poster but frequent reader I will miss this forum and all of you. To the purpose of this post - I wanted to highlight a story on BBC World News that literally stopped me in my tracks. The 2000 US central time/0200 UK time bulletin with David Eades. The lead story was an exhaustive piece by Dan Johnson on the way that mental and physically disabled people are treated in Ukraine and how that system is still very much a relic of the Soviet Era. Just the type of journalism from my perspective that is essential and I truly hope will continue to flourish in whatever form BBC broadcasting takes in the future. Something you would only find on a PBS Frontline special here but what you would expect from the BBC.
