Interesting to see TVZoneUK now reporting on the pilot which was filmed back in March. Indeed I'm sure I've seen since then (on Bothers Bar) they weren't proceeding with it.

If it does come to fruition, I hope they keep it as snappy as the original, we dont need extended waffle with the contestants or their life story, interviews and audience close-ups and reactions (ala BGT) every time someone gets hit or falls.

I just think the second revival would've made more sense on ITV as it could've been their replacement to Ninja Warrior UK were it not for their decision to bring that show back after initially ending it back in 2019 but that's just me.(30-07-2022, 05:00 PM)Mateus Honrado Wrote: I wonder why the new revival is going to be on BBC One instead of ITV like the original.Because the BBC are the ones that have/will be commissioning it.

Probably a discussion for one of the new places but there are a few formats which have flipped between the two over the years - Blankety Blank probably the most obvious.

If this does happen they'd be mad not to give one of the presenting roles to Ore Oduba. He'd fit the format perfectly.
As seen on BBC Newswatch

Yeah, it'd make sense for at least one of the hosts to be sports related, like Alex Scott. The original Gladiators was hosted by a weather presenter and a footballer.
