Other than Pointless not many BBC shows seem to end up on Challenge. Blankety Blank and The Weakest Link seem to be the most frequent ones, and I think they give Small Talk with Ronnie Corbett a run every so often, but not much else appears. Of course it has always been more ITV's genre but would perhaps be value in the Quizzy Monday trilogy of shows for something more recent from the BBC.

I suspect the Quizzy Monday shows would do badly on Challenge plus they'd be cut to shreds.

All those trilogy Quizzy Mondays shows are too high brow for somewhere like Challenge - which was always going to go for something more mainstream aka what ITV would (and have) churned out. General knowledge, not "smart arse" knowledge.
Anyway UC's probably gained appreciation from the Daily Fail keep picking out random contestants for being eccentric or strange or doing something apparently worth blowing out of all proportion (or fabricating) on slow news days.
