ITV technical problems - nhk - 10-10-2021
Just noticed in the top right of my screen on ITVHD is the letters 'GRA' in bold Arial font it seems; I'm in the Granada region so could possibly be related to that? Anyone know what's going on with that, or if this is also happening in other regions?

Other channels were fine but going back to ITV presented us (me and my mam, who has Sky) with a black screen. Perhaps related to that?

My TV is, well, strange, I think the frame is too thick for the screen or something, and so I get about 1cm of the screen cropped off, so i just see three lines. Anyway, asked dad on the much better one connected to the Sky box and he says TTT (T yne T ees T elevision presumably). So maybe they're in some form of DR mode if they did fall off air this morning.

First time I've seen that - I'd have thought usually if one ITV region falls off air the backup is another region. It had gone just as the Bond film came to an end.

Did this only effect Leeds regions, I haven’t seen any tweets from anywhere in the south

According to Cleanfeed on Twitter, the affected regions were:
- Tyne Tees
- Border
- Granada
- YTV West
- Wales
Others have reported Central West and I'm sure I saw someone say it was happening on West Country, but I can't find it so that may just be my mind playing tricks, or I misread something. Plus, there may be more.

Out of interest, what is the benefit to ITV from having “Northern” regions coming from Leeds? Given it’s national continuity wouldn’t it be easier to completely centralise things?
