EDIT: speaking of the Housewives, I just remembered that Peacock commissioned a revival of RHOMiami and an All Stars spin-off... now I think some sort of merger between Peacock and Hayu is a lot more possible.

Generally speaking, it makes sense. Sky are owned by Comcast, so I doubt the Sky channels (which in turn offer NBC content like Sky Comedy) will be massively affected as it just means that Peacock will be part of Sky's eco-system going forward.

Presumably there is some duplication of content with Peacock and NOW/Sky so be interesting to see how that is sorted and whether some content is moved under the Peacock brand. Presumably they'll be an option to pay for Peacock without ads as well.

I'd guess for NOW customers, Boost will remove the limited commercials from Peacock?

I'm not sure what value the Peacock brand brings here. The content is already there (mostly) as others have said.

Yeah, it works in America because people know of NBC and it's famous peacock logo. But here in Britain, the NBC brand has never been used on channels, unlike the other major American networks (Fox, CBS, ABC). Most people here would've only seen the logo as a vanity plate on imported programmes... which of course you don't see if you switch off as soon as the credits start, are watching on a streamer that automatically skips to the next episode, or it gets credit squeezed. Even home video releases are Universal branded. They should've used either the Universal or Sky brands here.

Those with NOW who don't pay for Boost along with every single person who pays for Sky, Virgin etc.
The NOW platform has been morphing into the Peacock model with a limited commercials and an ad free option, I wouldn't be surprised if it's another part of Comcast's strategy to replace NOW in the UK, Italy and Ireland and Sky Ticket in Austria, Germany and Switzerland with the Peacock brand by gradually introducing the brand to customers.

Never thought that Comcast would bring Peacock to Sky Europe. When Peacock launched last year they said that they not keen on launch the NBCU streaming service to those counties that have Sky.
I expect ViacomCBS content to be added to Peacock global as the NBCUniversal archive while being prestigious is very limited.
