Interesting issue across iOS today some users are being directed to the pan-European version when they access the app. The only way around currently is to access indirectly via the Apple App Store instead. Another issue is it's slow response on AppleTV which gives me concerns as to whether it's up to standard to allegedly be the 'main' distribution channel for extra Olympic content in less than a fortnight's time.

They seem to be giving it a big push now ahead of the Olympics.
Any thoughts on the best option for the Olympics - guess there is Eurosport Player, Discovery+ or Eurosport via Amazon Prime.

I assume that aside from the Olympics the Eurosport content will be reduced compared to what you get on Eurosport Player given that it's the same monthly price for Eurosport Player (which just gives you sport) as it is for Discovery+ (sport + entertainment)?

I guess that could change with heavy usage during the games but works well as is. Although UI can be a bit clunky and doesn't always remember the last episode you've finished.

Oh I didn't realise there was a separate 'Entertainment' and 'Entertainment and Sport' subscription. Although Olympics will be included in the Entertainment only package and that's all I need.

From what I can see, the only difference between Ent and Ent + Sport is that the latter has live streams of Eurosport 1 and 2.

Worth noting that Discovery are doing a special offer on the Entertainment & Sport annual pass. £29.99.
Edit: Now subscribed. Eurosport 1 and 2 live streams are 1080p along with Eurosport VOD including Wimbledon and the Tour De France.

So I do now have access to the Eurosport 1 & 2 live streams but none of the on demand sports or live events as expected. Is that just for the duration of the Olympics (plus now)? Seems odd that they'd include the live Eurosport channels in the Ents only package.
Also does anyone know if the SkyQ freebie service includes sport?

You should also get Olympics VOD, but no other sports VOD which is covered by the Ent & Sport package.

I haven't paid yet, but the Olympics > Select a Sport lists all the broadcast times for everything.
Interesting to see what audio options (e.g. world feed, Eurosport or no commentary) there are for the individual sports, if any.
Also if the Olympic streams will have ads.
