But managing to get the Colour Balance wrong...
Does no one check their output for the basics?
Presumably because that’s what it looks like on that YouTube feed itself.
That's no excuse.
White and Black balance and saturation are the essentials.
Even if you 've never seen the PM before you can take a guess he's not got jaundice and he's wearing a white shirt.
The other 'feeds' got it right.

According to my EPG, Isabel Oakeshott is presenting The Briefing at noon today.

It's on the gbnews.uk schedule too - as well as Nana Akua from 4-6pm (presumably Alex has stopped doing Fridays).

GB News - TMD_24 - 08-10-2021

Nana is now doing 4-6pm as well from this weekend rather than 3-5pm so a rather consistent slot now for her.

Throw someone on air for the first time with the sum total of 30 minutes rehearsal - sure, why not:

I guess if no ones watching, is her first show technically still a rehearsal?

I'm aware this is a joke (and a fairly funny one) but doesn't Gloria's version of The Briefing rate quite well?

Speaking of ratings, does anyone have the latest?

Not the whole picture, but just to note among the top 15 programs (and yes, still old data from Sept. 20-26):
GBN's most-watched broadcast: 106,500
Sky News' least-watched broadcast: 111,982
BBC News' least-watched broadcast: 178,000

And average weekly audience stands at 21,000 for now. Will update this post with new data when somewhere/someone releases it.

Isabel Oakeshott's delivery is up there with the early days of the channel. A middle class Michelle Dewberry at best.

GB News - Matrix - 08-10-2021

Whisper it: it's almost like producing a TV programme / channel is quite difficult...

I've seen five minutes of the drivel today. No progress in terms of outputs, same PowerPoint-esk design, and woeful - absolutely woeful - delivery.

I think that's really harsh - yes, the Lower 3rds need improving. But the background graphics on the big screen and on the monitors behind the breakfast bar area, as well as the titlecards, look quite good.

GB News - London Lite - 08-10-2021

One of Isabel's cringe worthy attempts at autocue reading and poor adlibbing,

It reminds you just how pro Gloria De Piero is in the same slot.

GB News - Jon - 08-10-2021

Doesn’t seem too bad to me, for a first time. Certainly better than Liam Halligan.

GB News - Chinamug - 08-10-2021

When you see someone like this on air you have to think that the channel is some sort of tax write off. A televisual version of The Producers. It's not fair on the presenter as she's obviously had no on-air practice. I've seen this sort of stuff before with first-time autocue users, it gets better but a lot of practice is needed and not live on air. At least no one is watching.

GB News - TVViewer256 - 08-10-2021

She certainly needs to improve but at least she (and Liam Halligan) don’t put on ‘presenter voices’ (like one or two other anchors) when hosting
